March for Life Ottawa
The March for Life is an annual pro-life protest for human rights on Parliament Hill, Ottawa. Many countries host a March for Life at different times throughout the year. It is a chance to gather en masse to signal to the government that Canadians care about the life issue and don’t agree with death as a solution in our country.

There is also a bus for YOUTH!

Toronto March for Life
The Toronto March for Life is a local March the Saturday after the National March in Ottawa. This event provides an opportunity for pro-lifers to gather in the largest city in the country and stand united with the pro-life movement against the injustice of abortion. This is especially great for families and groups who are unable to make the trip to Ottawa.

Walk for Life
Join the Halton Alive community in this commemorative and fundraising event. With each step, we recognize the 100,000 unborn lives lost to abortion every year in Canada and reaffirm our commitment to supporting women in unplanned pregnancies to know they are not alone.
The Walk for Life is an opportunity to gather as a community, be a voice for the most vulnerable and collectively raise funds to support the work of Halton Alive.

Palliative Care: The Better Choice
Speaking from a medical and bioethics perspective, Dr. Paul Zeni and Bob Parke discuss the many strengths of palliative care including opportunity for legacy, individualized support, and grief counseling. Dr. Zeni contrasts the broad scope of palliative care potential against the real side of MAiD - what MAiD doesn’t provide. Parke highlights the importance of advance care planning as the gift you give yourself, your loved ones, and the healthcare team.
Youth Retreat
This event is run by Choose Life Niagara.
All high school students are invited to join us for our annual overnight Youth Retreat at the Circle Square Ranch in Brantford!
The retreat consists of educational sessions that will equip youth to stand for life against abortion and fun ranch activities, including horseback riding, archery, rock climbing and more.
Horseback riding is available on a first come, first serve basis for the first 60 registrants (trail riding for the first 20 and corral riding for the next 40). Anyone registering after that can participate in all other activities except horseback riding. Registration will be capped at 75 participants.
The cost is $60, which includes bus transportation, snacks, meals on Saturday, overnight accommodation, education sessions and ranch activities.
Buses will depart from the Vineland Carpool Lot at 5:45 pm on Friday, Nov. 22 and will return around 9:00 pm on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Healing Retreat: Project Anna and Simeon
Have you lost someone you love to euthanasia?
Join us for a healing retreat, Project Anna and Simeon, which includes supper followed by a pastoral talk on grieving by Fr Lui Santi, an opportunity for sharing and memorial service. The first of its kind in Canada, this event will be on Wednesday November 20th, 2024, and will begin at 4:30 p.m.

'How We Got Here' Book Tour
How We Got Here is a cultural map of post-Christian society – a “You Are Here” marker amidst the chaos that has been unleashed all around us.
At this event, Jonathon Van Maren will walk you through this cultural map, sharing and explaining the course that our society has taken over the last hundred years, where we are currently at, and a look into our future.
Bring along your questions about the current state of our culture, as there will be Q & A at the close of Jonathon’s talk.
Medical Assistance in Dying: An Evil That's Going to Get Worse

Inspire Hope: Boxes of Hope Campaign
Inspire Hope is a campaign that brings hope & encouragement to the elderly in our community through simple acts of love & care.
This November you can be part of touching the lives of specific elderly people in our community who are particularly vulnerable to loneliness and depression because they do not have visitors. Sign-up to make a Box of Hope as a gift to one of these individuals and take some time to visit with them.
50th Anniversary Gala & Silent Auction 2024

Life Chain
Life Chain is a public, prayerful, peaceful witness against legalized abortion on the first Sunday of October. It began in Yuba, California in 1987 and was brought to Canada in 1990 by Campaign Life Coalition who continues to lead this initiative.
Attending Life Chain is a great follow-up action point to Respect Life Sunday. It can be an effective, challenging way to take that step toward taking a stand for life. Simply show up to participate.

Respect Life Sunday
October is a month dedicated to respecting and promoting the value of human life. In an effort to support churches in connecting with their congregation, Halton Alive provides custom resource to help draw attention to life issues and how individuals can learn more or get involved.
40 Days for Life
40 Days for Life runs from September 25 - November 03
40 Days for Life is a focused, ongoing prayer vigil for 40 days outside an abortion facilities and hospitals across the US and Canada. It is a peaceful, prayerful presence to remind people that abortions are happening everyday.
In Canada, many abortions are performed in hospitals and so 40DFL vigils are often outside hospitals. Canada also has a bubble zone law which prohibits any pro-life messaging within 150 ft of any facility that provides abortions. 40DFL vigils now happen just outside that bubble.
This event is volunteer led through the organization, 40 Days for Life.

ROE Canada: The True North in a Post-Roe World follows two Canadian women working intently towards a similar triumph in their country.
Josie (former student intern at Halton Alive) and Ruth are intrepid young pro-life activists who are actively investigating how the landmark decision in their neighbouring nation could help or hinder efforts to end abortion in Canada, the only democratic country in the world with zero legal protection for the preborn.
