Learn more about Halton Alive
Halton Alive programs are meant to educate, equip, and connect. Our initiatives create community and inspire people to live out their life-affirming values in simple ways. We hope you’ll take some time to browse our key programs and consider where you might get more involved or participate in. Learn more by clicking on any of the programs below.
We encourage you to become a monthly donor tonight to help these programs continue and expand.
Educate. Equip. Connect.
LIfe Talks
Life Talks is an annual educational conference focused on the spectrum pro-life issues. It’s an opportunity to expand your knowledge, meet new people, and be inspired to take action. Many pro-life journeys begin here.
SPARK Resource
A resource to help parents and educators spark conversations with kids and students about life issues and communicate life-affirming values. SPARK Resource is a separate website that will launch soon!
Inspire Hope
A campaign to bring hope and encouragement to the elderly living in long-term care, retirement, and hospice care homes in our community. Inspire Hope creates opportunities to live out life-affirming values and combat the feelings of loneliness that can lead to thoughts of euthanasia.
Walk for Life
Each step of the Walk for Life commemorates the 100,000 unborn lives lost to abortion every year in Canada. We walk to reaffirm our commitment to supporting women in unplanned pregnancies and help raise funds for Halton Alive’s education and resources.
Church Growth Program
Our Church Growth Program empowers and equips churches to be welcoming spaces that recognize the the needs of people facing life issues. We do this by creating Life Teams of ambassadors who create awareness and build a culture of life.
Life Teams
The Life Teams are made up of church members who are on fire for pro-life issues, who commit themselves to creating awareness and building the Culture of Life in their church community. They meet for a monthly Huddle to connect, inspire, and grow. By sharing ideas and challenges they are able to life each other up and find ways to reach their church and broader community better.
The Gathering
A yearly, one-hour commitment to corporate prayer over our nation and the life issues it faces. This is not a protest. There is no sign holding it is simply an opportunity for inter-denominational corporate prayer to unite as pro-lifers from across the region and refocus on the power of prayer to change our culture.
Respect Life Sunday
Every year we create an original, informative and inspiring postcard for Respect Life Sunday. These postcards are delivered to about 5000 people through Church bulletins and Family mailboxes. The postcards are also translated into 3 languages to help us reach communities better:
Spanish
French
